This is a contract with legal consequences. Please read before registering for this event. All registrants will be held to these rules.
DO NOT OPERATE ATV's WHILE CONSUMING ALCOHOL
By submitting this form and participating in our event, you are hereby waiving, releasing, and discharging, in advance, any and all liability arising out of, or connected with participation in the Official Lake George Winter Carnival Poker Run Event. This includes against any other rider (including pets), driver, all volunteers, landowners, residents, business owners, municipalities (Including but not limited to the Town and Village of Lake George) and organizations (including but of the Lake George Winter Carnival Committee, Inc.) community, and any persons involved with this event.
You are agreeing to be responsible for your own safety equipment (example: helmets) and safe operation of your ATV (this includes both driving responsibilities and making sure that your ATV is operating safely (example: brakes are working). Signing this waiver also acknowledges that you are understanding the "rules of the road" and you will abide by these rules (posted at registration). Your signature also means that you are aware that if you are caught damaging private or public property during this event, that the owners can and most likely will press charges (many owners have game cameras on their property).
This is a contract between the Official Lake George Winter Carnival Poker Run Event and volunteers, and you, the participant (rider or driver). If you are signing for an underage rider, it is your responsibility to have permission from a parent to sign for that rider and we are not held accountable for that child's participation in our event and they are your responsibility alone.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AT OUR EVENT. (LOUD MUSIC, LOUD EXHAUSTS, YELLING, ETC. NEEDS TO BE CONTROLLED WHILE AT OUR EVENT). IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE RESIDENTS CONTINUE TO GRACIOUSLY ALLOW OUR EVENT WITHOUT COMPLAINTS AND SHOULD WE START GETTING THEM, WE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO HOLD THIS EVENT. PLEASE RESPECT THE HOMEOWNERS ALONG PORTIONS OF OUR ROUTE AND KEEP DUST/ AND SPINNING TO BARE MINIMUM.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF ICE CONDITIONS AND KNOW THAT TAKING ANY VEHICLE ONTO THE ICE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK. EXCESSIVE RUTS CREATED IN THE RACETRACK AREA DURING SLUSHY ICE CONDITIONS CAN REFREEZE AND MAY CAUSE FUTURE ICE DEPENDENT EVENTS AT THE CARNIVAL TO BE CANCELED, IF THE ICE IS NOT IN ACCEPTABLE RACING CONDITION.
TRAFFIC CONES PLACED ON THE ICE OFTEN SIGNIFY THIN OR DANGEROUS AREAS. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE IN THESE AREAS OR REMOVE CONES FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHER RIDERS AND VISITORS.PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND REMEMBER TO BE ALERT TO OTHER VEHICLES AND PEDESTRIANS BOTH ON THE ICE,ROADWAYS AND FOOTPATHS. A MAP IS AVAILIBLE IN THE WINTER CARNIVAL BOOKLET THAT OUTLINES ACCESS ROUTES. PLEASE STAY TO THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ONLY CROSS AS INDICATED ON THE MAP.
